2. General information on data processing
Protecting your personal data is important to me. Personal data is processed on this website only insofar as this is necessary to provide the website, communicate with you, or provide functions you have chosen to use. Processing is carried out in particular in accordance with the GDPR and, where applicable, the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).
Personal data is generally retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or for as long as statutory retention obligations apply.
3. Hosting by OVHcloud
This website is hosted by OVHcloud. The provider is OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France.
When you access the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection and access data in server log files. This may include, in particular, your IP address, the date and time of access, the page or file requested, the referrer URL, browser type and version, and the operating system used.
This processing is necessary to provide the website securely, reliably and without technical errors and is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure and functional operation of this website. Where OVHcloud processes personal data on my behalf, such processing is carried out under a data processing arrangement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Contact by email and contact form
If you contact me by email or through the contact form, I process the information you provide, in particular your name, email address and the content of your message, as well as any additional information you provide voluntarily, in order to handle your enquiry and communicate with you.
Where your enquiry concerns the initiation or performance of a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is to respond appropriately to your enquiry.
The data will be deleted once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations or other legal grounds require continued storage.
5. Cookies and consent management
This website uses technically necessary cookies or comparable storage technologies. According to the current technical configuration, these include in particular an item that stores your choice in the consent banner and an item that stores the language you have selected.
Where such storage is strictly necessary to provide a function of the website that you have expressly requested, consent is not required under Section 25(2) TDDDG. Where personal data is processed in this context, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR unless another legal basis applies.

This website uses, among other fonts, the “Inter” typeface via Google Fonts. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When an externally hosted font is retrieved, your browser connects to Google servers. In doing so, your IP address and technical connection data may in particular be transmitted to Google.
External Google Fonts may only be loaded on this website after you have given prior consent. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; where access to or storage of information on your device is involved, Section 25(1) TDDDG also applies as relevant. 7. LinkedIn
This website contains an external link to my LinkedIn profile. For users in the European Economic Area, the provider is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.
According to the current technical configuration, LinkedIn is included only as an external link; this website does not use the LinkedIn Insight Tag or an embedded LinkedIn feed. Only when you click the link do you leave this website. Any subsequent processing of personal data by LinkedIn is governed by LinkedIn’s own privacy terms.
8. Yoast SEO
The WordPress plugin Yoast SEO is used to optimise this website for search engines. It supports technical and content-related search engine optimisation. According to the current configuration, this website does not use external analytics or advertising tracking services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or the LinkedIn Insight Tag.
If optional usage-tracking or telemetry functions are enabled in Yoast SEO, their data-protection implications must be assessed separately. Such usage analytics are not required for the operation of this website.
9. No external web analytics or advertising tracking
This website currently does not use external web analytics or statistics services such as Google Analytics and does not use advertising trackers. Accordingly, no visitor profiles are created through such services for analytics or advertising purposes.
10. Recipients and international data transfers
Personal data is disclosed to service providers or other recipients only where this is necessary for the relevant processing purpose, required by law, or based on your consent. Where service providers act as processors, data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are concluded where required.
For services provided by international companies, processing outside the European Union or European Economic Area cannot always be ruled out. In such cases, transfers take place only in accordance with the requirements of Arts. 44 et seq. GDPR, in particular on the basis of an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards where required.
